Riveting, outspoken, and bold, born in Dover, Delaware, Tiana Batiste-Waddell lived in Europe prior to moving stateside to Texas before calling South Bend, Indiana her home. Tiana completed her undergraduate and a graduate degree from Indiana University South Bend, along with several certifications in the scope of diversity, equity, and inclusion; including the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI). Her passion for providing equitable learning and working environments for all led her to start LeAja Consulting, LLC, a consulting business focused on improving intercultural competence among individuals to produce equitable results through the primary use of the IDI. Tiana has been in education for over 25 years, previously serving as the Chief Academic Officer for Benton Harbor Area Schools in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She proudly serves as the Executive Director and Founder of JAX Aspire Foundation Organization, a 501c3 non-profit organization focused on dismantling the barriers that prevent students from positive outcomes in public, private, and charter school settings.
